The µTari Go is a handheld Atari 2600 built with real Atari hardware and a CRT display — no emulation and no FPGA. This project is based on my previous µTari, which shrinks the Atari 2600 motherboard down to just 1/3 of the original size while retaining the original 6507 CPU, TIA, and 6532 RIOT. I originally designed µTari with a handheld version in mind, and now that idea has become the µTari Go. Inside is a 4-inch flat CRT display, built-in D-pad and buttons, audio amplifier, speaker, and a cartridge connector for playing original Atari 2600 games. Everything is packed into a custom 3D-printed enclosure.
