Studies have proven this fact many times. Some beginner singers have difficulty hearing the pitch when trying to match their voice to an instrument. Ruth's recording of "Let's Put the Rooster in the Stew," is pure a cappella singing that makes it easy for any singer to immitate. Repetition is also known to help singers learn fast! This recording starts with the simple melody repeated 3 times and then all 4 parts repeated 3 times. This was deliberately planned in order to help beginners learn easier. Ruth has played the leading lady in several plays, musicals, operettas and operas including, Etta Place in the musical "Butch & the Kid" at Robert Redford's Sundance Theatre. Ruth has performed as Soprano Soloist with the Utah Symphony, Salt Lake Symphony, Utah Valley Symphony and BYU Philharmonic Orchestra. She played violin with the Murray Symphony Orchestra in Utah. Ruth has won several classical singing competitions. She was a finalist in the International Bach Vocal Competition, "Musica Sacra," held in New York City. In 2017 Ruth was appointed, "Riverton City's Classical Music Arts Director." Ruth was the Founder and Director of the "Pro-Arte Children's Choir" and "Prodigies." While living in New Jersey she was the Assistant Director of the Monmouth Conservatory of Music Children's Opera Chorus. Ruth Ann composed 7 children's operas for the Utah Festival Opera's Opera by Children Program. She has written educational pieces for children that accelerate learning.
