Лялька-Мотанка | Wrath of the Carpathians | Official Video

The Motanka Doll / Лялька-Мотанка is a ritual Ukrainian dark folk metal track from Wrath of the Carpathians / Гнів Карпат. Inspired by the traditional Ukrainian motanka doll, the song follows a mother winding cloth and thread into a faceless guardian for her child and bloodline. No needle pierces the doll. No face invites the darkness. Every turn of the thread becomes a command: bind the evil, close the threshold, guard the house. The sound combines a 90 BPM mid-tempo doom pulse, dark low female ritual chanting, piercing Ukrainian white voice, deep male baritone counter-melody, metallic acoustic bass lute, Slavic drone bagpipes, gothic brass, dark cellos, heavy frame drums, and restrained hammered dulcimer accents. "Лялька-мотанка," "Безлика варта." Thread by thread, the darkness is bound. Subscribe to follow the journey into Ukrainian folklore, Carpathian darkness, and heavy ritual metal.
